My Goal

The whirring of fans in the co-working space is my soundtrack these days. As a fresh face at the HNG Internship, I'm surrounded by seasoned developers, their fingers flying across keyboards. It's both intimidating and exhilarating. Here I am, a tech newbie, embarking on a journey that will hopefully transform me into a skilled programmer.

While there's much to learn, I'm not just here to passively absorb information. This internship is a launchpad for my tech aspirations, and I have a clear vision for the next two years.

Year One: Building the Foundations

My first year will be dedicated to solidifying the fundamentals. HNG's curriculum with its focus on ReactJS is a perfect starting point. I want to master the component-based approach, understand the virtual DOM, and become comfortable with libraries like Redux for state management.

But HNG is just one piece of the puzzle. I'll be devouring online tutorials, participating in coding challenges to test my skills, and contributing to open-source projects. Every line of code I write, every bug I fix, will be a step towards fluency in this new language.

Year Two: Expanding My Horizons

By year two, the focus shifts from foundation to exploration. With a solid grasp of ReactJS, I'll delve into front-end frameworks like Angular or Vue.js, comparing their strengths and weaknesses. Backend development also beckons, and I'll explore languages like Python or Java to understand the full web development stack.

This year will also be about specialization. Front-end development is vast, and I'll gravitate towards areas that spark my passion. Perhaps it's building sleek user interfaces, crafting dynamic animations, or even delving into the world of progressive web applications.
